This project was created for a college assignment. This project was conceived following a random conversation in my local Co-Op supermarket. I was speaking with a staff member about the abundance of bread and fruit on offer. The staff member told me that although it is still good at closing time it will all go in the waste bin. I asked why it is not donated. They told me that it makes her sick throwing away all the good food and they are not permitted to give it away. On checking the site, the food wast bin is also locked behind gates so that if one was in desperate need of food, they couldn't even raid the bin.
